Play With Your Food: Pizza Hut Debuts Box That Turns To A ‘Flick Football’ Game Board
Pizza Hut is offering a pizza box featuring a playable "flick football" field on its top, goal posts, a score card and punch out football triangles, and Pizza Hut is tying it to an online contest for its customers.
"We know our fans enjoy a little competition and we're happy to provide a platform that lets them get in on the game in a whole new way while watching their favorite team," said David Timm, chief marketing officer for Pizza Hut. Customers who rise up to the challenge may win a free pizza to this favorite comfort food go-to place, reports Fortune.
Flick football is basically a table-top game traditionally played with a piece of paper that has been folded into a small triangle. Players flick the "football" back and forth across a table. They score points based on where the football lands.
The Pizza Company wants players to upload videos of the flick-football abilities to Twitter, and then winners will be chosen weekly for a free pizza. Categories include longest flick, most consecutive made flicks and most creative flick. "The box brings some excitement back to the classic Flick Football game," David added.

According to CNBC, the box has a football field printed onto it and inside you'll find detachable goal posts, cardboard "footballs," and a scorecard. The game is based off of the traditional flick football game you may have played during your grade school years with just a small triangle made by folding a piece of paper.
The box is available with the purchase of any medium pizza, including a one-topping medium pizza off the $5 Flavor Menu. Fans can participate in weekly challenges, including longest flick, most consecutive made flicks, and most creative flicks, by posting their videos on Twitter, tagging @PizzaHut and using #PizzaHutHut.
