Instagram's Update Finally Lets You Pinch Zoom in The App
If you are an Instagram user, most probably you encountered this frustration where in you can't zoom photographs on your feed so you end up downloading the entire image or taking a screenshot just to be able to see the photograph clearly.
Now, it is a hurray for every Instagram user because Instagram just announced that in their latest iOS updated that users can now pinch to zoom in the said photography-based social networking app.
Instagram finally granted the sentiments of its users for years. This new feature allows users to zoom photos with just a pinch. The feature can also be used across the entire app.
However, the pinch-to-zoom feature functions differently as compared to other apps with this feature, as reported by the The Verge. Apparently, once you pinch zoom a certain photo, unlike other apps which retains zoom intensity even after pinching, Instragram's feature only retains the zoom intensity as long as you are still pinching and returns to its default zoom out position after release.

This step up by Instagram shows that the app team understands well the need for the feature especially since they are a social network that fronts photography as their major leverage. Hopefully this move will increase Instagram's daily app interactions.
Recently, Instagram popularity is being divided because of its major rival, Snapchat which offers more features and interactive filters as to the traditional yet classy Instagram platform.
Android updates for the new feature is quite delayed and expected to be released in a couple of weeks. Yet, there are no updates for a Windows support. One downside is that despite the impressive specs of smartphone cameras today, Instagram has still no plans to retract its 1080 pixels capping in its photo uploads.
