Gamers can soon play 'EVE Online' without shelling out money. The sci-fi world game goes free in November after 13 years since its introduction to the gaming world.

Developer CCP Games announced that November coincides with the update pack release and the free-to-play option was bundled in it. The only catch are few limitations for those opting for this free option. This barrier is set to boost the capabilities of paying costumers while letting free users enjoy as well.

The 'Alpha Clones' - free gameplay

Imagine a wall between the paid version and the free version of EVE Online. One side is the "Alpha clones" which is the poor man's game but still within the same exciting genre. The limitation set here are specifics on arsenal, ships and skills of the player.

Gamers are getting excited of this entry level gameplay because of lower bar for entry compared to paid version. Meaning, an experienced gamer can easily hoard good items. Faction warfare also presents low bar for entry so 'runs' for reward is a good tactic here.

A good advice for EVE Online new entrants is to play Alpha clones first. This might provide good grasp of the gameplay should the gamer decides to upgrade to the next tier.

The obvious advantage of a paid "Omega clones" account is accessibility to all game features. Another plus is the ticket to updates and virtually unlimited number of hours playing. Massively reports that constant update of ships like tactical destroyers, command destroyers and frigates is an eye-candy.

EVE Online is also known to be a prolific game in terms of updates release every year. In 2015 alone, there are 15 updates packs released. These makes the game sustainable and paying clients willing to pay more on subscription.
