Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been receiving a phenomenal welcome to avid fans of the company and received wonderful and not-so-wonderful reviews from people. Blogs like Express.co.uk called it "a fabulous device" with a side note that Samsung shows an endless advancement in their technology with no signs of slowing.

However, those waiting to get their hands of the smartphone may need to extend their patience since a new report said that Galaxy Note 7 is facing some serious issues. Reuters reported that Samsung chooses to delay their shipment to perform additional and precautionary quality tests. " Shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 are being delayed due to additional tests being conducted for product quality," as confirmed by Samsung.

The need for further quality control is due to some reports from the early release of Galaxy Note 7 in selected areas that the battery had exploded. But the number of devices affected on the batch was not disclosed.

If these reports are indeed true, then it will definitely be a major blow that will affect the South Korean company. "This is some major buzz-kill for Samsung, especially given all of the hard-earned excitement that products like the Note 7 have been garnering lately," said IDC analyst Bryan Ma.

Previous statements from Samsung said that they are receiving a great demand for Galaxy Note 7, which exceeded their expectations. They even confirmed a supply shortage a few weeks ago - which is another problem why there was a delay in launch in some areas.

Investors fear the same issue that Samsung had with Galaxy S6 Edge last year and hope that they will meet the demand for the new device. "Market reaction, combined with extremely positive feedback from our carrier and retail partners, indicates that the Note7 will exceed our original sales forecasts for the region by some distance," said Conor Pierce, Vice President of IT  Mobile Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland.

"As such, the number of pre-order units will be limited due to the unprecedented demand, which will enable us to meet as much of this anticipated demand as possible and minimise any potential consumer disappointment when the device goes on general sale next month," he added.

The flagship device sports a beautiful dual-curved 5.7-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display. And was even called the best display ever developed for a smartphone in one report. Furthermore, it also features a built-in iris scanner to verify the identity of the user with a quick scan of the eyeball. This feature will allow easy access to apps and programs without the need for passwords.
