Pokémon GO has broken records since its launch in July, and developers of the game have added major updates on the game. Avid Pokémon GO players are waiting with excitement to see what Niantic Labs are cooking up for them on September 5 where a major update (Gen 2) is expected to be released.

According to heavy.com, the very first major feature that will be added to the game is trading. Although the details are still unclear, rumor has it that players will soon be able to exchange their Pokémon with one another. A report from Game Rant said that Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke said back in July that he always felts like this is a core element of Pokémon and that trading was always in the works for GO. In fact, sharp-eyed players have been able to spot gaming codes related to trading, specifically lines reading, "Trade_search_offer, Trade_search_response, and Trade_search_result."

Some players have also spotted another code that stood out which read, "activity_catch_legend_pokemon". This made them jump with excitement, and Game n Guide reported that more and more players are growing impatient since they believe the code has already been placed, but it still has not been activated to go live. They are eager to find out how they can spot and hopefully catch Legendary Pokémon.

It was also reported that future update will have a "Nearby" feature. Hyperpoke.com said that some already have access to this feature, but the majority of trainers only have "sightings" which show Pokémon area. However, the feature most players have only give them little clue where they should look.

Other features like customizable PokéStops and player versus player battles are also expected in the games' future updates. There are some speculationsthat Niantic Labs is probably still trying to completely stabilize their servers before they do a major revamp.
