Kickass Torrents (KAT) has been closed down by the US government following the arrest of its founder Artem Vaulin. Now, while everybody is sulking about the original KAT site gone, a mysterious KAT link has been discovered online and users were surprised to find that it works properly. Is a searchable KAT an indication that the seized file-sharing site coming back?
According to Parent Herald, there are a number of mirror sites and proxies have recently emerged and authorities in the United States are incessantly doing their best to take them down one by one. However, users were surprised to discover a searchable KAT link that works just like the original one.
Right now, users flock to The Pirate Bay (TPB) and ExtraTorrents for their dose of movies, TV shows, music and much more. Game n Guide reported that one KAT site, Katcr is working perfectly and users may use it for downloads. Although there are no talks as to the origin of the site, those who want to access the site won't have to place unnecessary credit card details just like what other mirror sites for KAT are asking.
The International Business Times also reported that it is important to not fall prey to those sites, as divulging credit card information can be dangerous. After authorities seized down the top torrent site KAT, and arrested its owner Artem Vaulin in Poland, TPB has quickly moved up to the most coveted number 1 spot. ExtraTorrent has also swiftly moved up to higher post and the two sites are now the most visited sites for torrent users.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that these two torrent site's future is as uncertain as the origin of mysterious KAT link. However, people are hoping that TPB won't follow the fate of other torrent site since it has already dealt with authorities but still came out strong. Reports also said that other torrent sites experiencing outpouring traffic are YTS.ag, 1337x.org and RARBG. But, Torrentz made a quick byebye fearing action by legal authorities.
