Official Halo 5 Forge Now On Windows 10: It’s Free And In 4K
On September 7, Microsoft released the new Halo 5: Forge app for Windows 10 PCs. It's not only a pretty interesting app because of what it has the potential to become, it's also pretty barebones. It acts as a hub for all the latest news about the whole Halo franchise. All news posts are just links to some external sites, like a link to 'Halo Waypoint'.
Halo 5: Forge App allows users to create their own maps and a lot more. This is for both the Windows 10 PCs as well as XBox. As, this is just the first iteration of the app, it seems that there will be a new update added to the app each month to remove the existing bugs.

Features
According to MSPowerUser, The app's current home screen is almost about Halo 5: includes a download link to it, as well the trailer. The trailer is one of the things you can click on without having your browser opening up or a Halo Waypoint page. It's something good to have all the Halo news at one place, but that's what Halo Waypoint is already for. The Features of the App include:
- TOTALLY FREE access to all the latest videos, news, and insights from all across the Halo universe, including Halo 5: Forge and Halo Wars 2.
- LATEST AND FRESH content from around 343 Industries that brings you the most exciting updates and videos available all around the world.
- DESIGN AND DISCOVER: You get information on the games future titles, Forge maps and modes created by the Halo community. You can also share your Maps.
- NEW TIPS AND TRICKS : That's for playing a variety of new Halo games, that also includes tutorials on how to build content in Halo 5: Forge and details about the best use of various units in Halo Wars 2.
The Game
Halo 5 Forge contains whole of the "Arena" mode. The 15 pre-made maps and also every Microsoft-built twist on the game's quintet of Forge sandboxes are present here, tackling the retail version of Halo 5's Arena mode already on XBox One.
In terms of customization, Halo 5 Game wasn't built totally for PC gaming, reports 'Arstechnica'. In the console version, players had the option to tap a button while pressing their joystick to quickly dodge in that direction. The Game wants players to stretch their pinkies onto the Caps Lock key while pressing a direction to pull on such a dodge. Keeping these complaints aside, the minor bit of floatiness has been present in Halo for years. Otherwise, Halo's return to keyboard control feels real tight whereever it needs to be.
Market place has all the Halo games you can currently purchase or to download for that matter. It also lets you get details about some of them. Some of the sections in the sidebar of the App are also just quick links to the details sections just like those found in Halo 5: Forge.
Over all, the Halo app for Windows 10 is a great start. In its present stage it feels more like an advertisement but hopefully in the future it'll gain integration with Halo 5. New functions will surely be available in the future, as there's plenty of possibilities. You can download it here from Windows Store.
