"Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night" is a successful 2.5 D action adventure game - a Castlevania successor - and is a highly anticipated Kickstarter project that is bound for Nintendo platforms. While its fans are waiting for its March 2018 launch, game producer and director Koji "IGA" Igarashi said that the estimate for the "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night" release has been moved to the first half of 2018. The reason is to ensure that his quality standards will be met by the game itself.

IGA had a ten-minute playthrough, which was familiar but lacked the quality he was aiming for. This for him, is a valid reason to push the launch on June 2018.

This may be bad news for numerous fans, but IGA pointed out that while the whole team aims to have the finished "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night" played as soon as they can, they likewise want it to be "done right the first time". PC Gamer reported that he would bring on additional developers. Apart from being the producer the director, IGA will also handle the role of the project scenario writer. Along with developer Inti Creates, Michiru Yamane will join him. Yamane is the series composer for Castlevania while Inti Creates is the studio behind Keji Inafune's Might No. 9, Mega 9 and 10, and Azure Striker Gunvolt.

According to IGN India, IGA said he would never give up on "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night". He did not even consider doing it. He pointed out that he wants to have the chance to give the fans what they really want.

Moreover, he promised to update the followers of the game on every step of its development. As a matter of fact, the next update would feature songs and Yamane's commentary. IGA added that fans can expect more news about the development process.

Apparently, there is disappointment regarding the delay. But the good thing is that fans are assured of a good-quality game that is hopefully worth the long wait.
