2017 Sentra SR Turbo: Nissan Debuts Compact Energetic Car At Miami Auto Show

Summer may be on its end but Nissan still manages to keep the season hot by bringing up two latest debuts at this weekend's Miami Auto Show. The auto manufacturer displayed a number of new 2017 models at the International Auto Show that continues through September 18.

One of the latest models was the automaker's first ever turbocharged Sentra: the 2017 Sentra SR Turbo compact car that is equipped with a sporty tuning, additional 6-speed manual transmission, and a gutsier engine. The Sentra SR Turbo is to reach the market this fall.

New Features:

The 2017 Sentra SR Turbo is a new variant that is totally performance-oriented. The car will feature a new 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 177 lb.-ft. of torque at 188 horsepower. This is 64 HP and 52 lb.-ft. of torque more from the earlier Sentra SR. An advanced Xtronic manual transmission along with a few adjustments to the steering, suspension and brakes have also been added that will be some unique features of the SR Turbo, according to the release on the official website.

The Sentra SR Turbo has 17-inches aluminum alloy wheels. The car also includes a power sliding moon-roof and also SR Turbo's badging. From the inside, the SR Turbo has very soft-touch materials, the black cloth of front seat has premium heating and also a sporty steering wheel wrapped in leather cover. The V-Motion grille is also used on the Sentra SR Turbo, along with brilliant LED lighting plus a rear spoiler, reports autonews.com.

The Rogue Hybrid of the auto manufacturer was also announced at the show, which is to go on sale at the end this year. This car will feature a 2.0-liter with four-cylinder gasoline-electric engine: which is a hybrid system that will give out a net power of 176 HP. The hybrid is also reported to have an estimated fuel economy of 33, 34 mpg and 35 mpg combined.

For all those who wish for an advanced driver-assistance systems, the SR Turbo also offers an optional premium package that includes blind-spot detection as well as rear cross-traffic alert.
