Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Specs, Rumors: Here’s Why Samsung Galaxy S8 Will Be A Great Phone To Own

Recently, Samsung had to face a lot of heat after its Galaxy Note 7 phablets were found to be exploding. Now, in order to regain back customers' faith in the company, it is expected that Samsung will try its level best to lure customers with its highly anticipated Galaxy S8 smartphone. While, nothing about the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs and pricing details have been revealed, it is rumored that the handset will get impressive set of hardware, specs and features which will be far better than its highly successful predecessors "Galaxy S7" and "Galaxy S7 Edge".

Talking about Samsung Galaxy S8 specs, the handset is expected to feature a 4K curved screen display intended for use with VR, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 830 chipset paired with a massive 6GB of random access memory (RAM), Android 7.1 Nougat, improved iris scanning technology, a new kind of triple-camera system and a USB Type-C port for reversible, fast charging and quicker data transfers. There are also chances that the handset will come with a brand new Exynoss 8895 processor which is faster than Apple's A10 processor and more powerful than Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 830 processor. The use of Exynos 8895 processor in the upcoming Galaxy smartphone is expected to make the handset 30 percent more efficient than the current Galaxy S7 which uses Exynoss 8890 chip.

As per reports, the smartphone maker will roll out two variants of the Galaxy S8 smartphone same like "Galaxy S7" and "Galaxy S7 Edge".  According to SamMobile, the two upcoming Samsung Galaxy handsets are internally codenamed Dream and Dream2 and bear model numbers SM-G950 and SMG955 respectively. Samsung's foldable display technology might also debut in the Galaxy S8 models. 

Furthermore, with Apple removing the headphone jack from its newly introduced iPhone 7 iteration, it is also possible that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone will come sans the 3.55-mm jack. As far as Samsung Galaxy S8 release date is concerned, the handset is rumored to be announced at the Mobile World Congress event in February 2017.
