Sony Xperia XZ Release Date, Specs, Features, US Launch Priced At $700
Sony has announced to launch its flagship product Xperia XZ on October 2nd in the US market. Well, the timing isn't particularly right as Google is launching its own new android phones.
Sony's XPERIA XZ would be available at $ 700 from 2nd October. Participating e-retailers are Amazon and Best Buy will also have much smaller and compact version of XZ called 'X' which will be launched on September 25th at $499.99.
According to The Verge, the Sony handset will be available to all GSM networks except Verizon or sprint. Experts first-hand opinion on Sony's Xperia XZ wasn't all positive. Firstly, the phone is a late entrant in the market, secondly, though it is power packed with the 5.2-inch screen,820 processors, 3GB of RAM, 32GB expandable storage, it is still banking on its camera performance to distinguish itself from the other competitors. Sony might fail to bring Xperia XZ at the same level as other market entrants.
Sony Xperia X compact is a good deal for $500 as it has more intriguing features as compared to XZ. Sony's X compact is actually not a mini version of XZ, it has the same camera and design except the metal back body and snapdragon 650 processor.
According to of TechTimes, some of the commendable features of the phone are for sure the Gorilla Glass 4 which protect your phone from scratch, it is also fitted with USB-C port and has an IP65/68 rating with will protect it from water and dust. This feature of protection with water was introduced by Sony and it was an instant hit as it protects the phone from rain and water spills. Experia XZ also has a fingerprint sensor and it runs on Android 6.0.1.
Hideyuki Furumi, Executive Vice president, Global Sales and Marketing, Sony Mobile commented on the launch stating that both the new launches, Xperia XZ and X will assist the phone users when required the most. It will make everyday life easy, convenient, spontaneous and more effortless. Xperia XZ and X compact will capture images as we see it with blur-free images. It is also installed with triple image sensing technology, as reported by NDTV.
Let's wait and watch if Sony's Experia XZ and X compact is a hit or miss.
