There have been some popular reports about the specs and design of the latest MacBook Pro. According to these, the MacBook Pro 2016 will be sleeker, lighter and thinner than before. It is also reported to be available in a larger variety of colors with a new state-of-the-art hinge design. Every fan is expecting some major revamps in the new design of the MacBook Pro, as Apple hasn't made any major changes in that aspect since its last update in 2012. The reports state that a secondary OLED screen is to be placed above the keyboard, which will serve as a place to readily access several functions such as shortcuts to the apps, function keys, the Touch ID sensor, etc. MacBook Pro 2016 is also rumored to use the Kaby Lake processors of AMD Zen chips, with an amazing 5120 x 2880 pixels Apple Display. Siri, Apple's AI, is also reported to be available for the MacBook Pro. This is the first time the AI will appear outside the iPhones.

According to a report on The Next Web, all rumors can't be considered true and some of the features including the OLED Touch Screen and Touch ID may not be there. The report however adds that the MacBook Pro 2016 will possibly have a slimmer design than before with the addition of four USB C ports, a Force Touch track pad and the much awaited Apple's new butterfly keyboard mechanism.
Titanic without Jack again?
The design of the MacBook Pro 2016 may have the same features that were in the latest iPhone 7 , as they are, after all, made by the same company. The MacBook Pro might remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack bringing in some other alternatives like the Bluetooth powered Lightning earpods featured for iphone 7.
Apple's marketing chief, Phil Schiller earlier stated that "maintaining the ancient, single-purpose big connector doesn't make sense anymore as that space comes at a premium." Obviously, the space of the headphone jack will be used for some other purpose, may be a second speaker.
The expected release date is in early October, but there is a possibility that this will be pushed to the final quarter of 2016 if Apple really does decide to use the Kaby Lake processors for the new MacBook Pro 2016. There has been no direct confirmation or any official announcement from the company about the release date.
