Google had previously released amazing smartphones under its Nexus Platform, in collaboration with a number of hardware partners. Yesterday, the Tech Giant announced for the first time a product whose hardware and software are both made by Google itself; behold the Google Pixel.

Google Pixel is purely based on Google's vision.

Although, the company has outsourced the Smartphone's manufacturing to HTC, everything about Pixel brings the best out of Google. The tagline, Made by Google, very cleverly reminds the other Android manufacturers that a tough competition is coming up.

Pixel is everything Google has ever wanted in a smart-phone. Here's everything we know about the smart-phone so far:

DISPLAY: Google Pixel comprises an AMOLED capacitive touch-screen giving an amazing range of 16M colors. The Screen will come in two sizes: 5.0" and 5.5", protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The 1080 x 1920 pixels with a 441 ppi pixel density also support multi-touch.

CAMERA: The Pixel camera is the highest rated smart-phone camera ever made. The Smartphone has a 12.3MP camera, featuring an f/2.0 aperture along with big 1.55 micron pixels to take in lots of light for better image quality.

OS: The Smart-phone will ship with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat. Pixel is powered by a Quad-core (2x2.15 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo) C.P.U along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Chipset. Google Duo and Allo will come pre-installed so the user can right away talk with their friends.

MEMORY: The Smartphone features 4 GB of RAM, combined with two options for the internal memory: 32 GB or 128 GB.

GOOGLE ASSISTANT: Pixel is the first smartphone with the built in Google Assistant . By Saying 'Ok Google' or touching and holding the Home button, the Assistant will come up to help.

Other Features: Google's smartphone is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2770 mAh battery. The smartphone also has a number of sensors including fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer.

Release Date & Price:

Pixel will currently come in three colors: Very Silver, Quite Black and the limited edition for the U.S. only, Real Blue. You can pre-order the smartphone from now on.

The pre-order prices are starting at $649 in the U.S., Canada, Germany, U.K. and Australia. Pre-orders in India are to begin from October 13. In the U.S., Google has also teamed up with Verizon to make Pixel available nationwide.
