Nokia's First-Ever Android Smartphone: Nokia D1C Spotted On Geekbench, Specs And Scores Revealed! [VIDEO]
Nokia, the famous brand of its time is setting up again by making its comeback with its new android based device, Nokia D1C, in the market of global smartphones.The latest smartphone from the Finland-based company was spotted on the Geekbench listing. Earlier Nokia 5329 and Nokia 1490 have also been spotted on Geekbench listing.
The company has been trying to venture into Android and has been reported to be working on an Android-powered device but no such official announcement has been made yet. HMD has also recently hired former Rovio CEO in an attempt to bring the Nokia smartphones back in action. The official launch is expected to happen pretty soon.

WHAT'S NEW IN NOKIA D1C?
According to gadget 360, Nokia D1C will feature Dual-SIM(GSM+GSM) with 4GLTE, GPS, Wi-fi, Bluetooth and a USB channel. The smartphone will also have a big 5" Full HD(1920 x 1080 pixels) display and protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The Operating System is reported to be Android 7.0 Nougat that will also support a fully laminated zero air-gap display and the Nokia's Z launcher.
D1C is to be powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor combined with 3GB RAM, 128GB of inbuilt memory, and an external memory expandable to 128GB. The Android Smartphone will also sport a 16-MP rear PureView camera and a 5-MP front camera. The Nokia D1C will also feature a powerful 40000mAh battery.
PERFORMANCE
As Digit states, Geekbench has given Nokia D1C's multi-core, a score performance of 3120 whereas the single-core scored 656. In terms of Integer performance, the single core has a score of 795 while multi-core 4298. The D1C smartphone features 2823 MB of memory and is powered by an MSM8937 motherboard.
Since HMD GLOBAL was granted the license to create branded Android mobile phones for Nokia ,its comeback has been highly anticipated. With Nokia's Z launcher for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and android powered device launch with N1 tablet the company has geared up its position it the market again.
Release Date
Nokia will be launching a minimum of three of its smartphones before the end of this year but as of now, there is no information on the launch dates. Nokia D1C is expected to be launched either in early 2017 or late December this year.
The gathered information above was taken from the same site that reportedly benchmarked on the 5.2 inch and 5.5-inch high-end models last August. As the Nokia D1C is the first ever smartphone from Nokia that is totally based on Android OS, it'll be interesting to see how the smartphone battles with the upcoming other smartphones especially Google's Pixel.
