This is some good news for people who are annoyed with the tiresome task of cable management, EVGA is offering to make things less complicated by giving away free PowerLink adapters along with the purchase of an EVGA-brand GeForce GTX 10 series graphics card (Pascal).

This can be considered as kind of free because the buyer will have to shell out money from his pocket for the shipment which will vary according to your location. There is no cost for the Powerlink itself. This promotional offer is made available only to registered cardholders.

The L-shaped adapter allows the cable manager to reroute the power inputs of his card for a cleaner look. The adapter made its debut during Computex 2016 in June. It not only makes the setup tidy, but also increases the air flow between the front and rear fans, thus enabling more heat to be pulled out from the components. It also has a configurable mechanism based on your requirements.

Coming in 5 configurations for power inputs, including 6-pin, 8-pin, 6+8-pin, 8+6-pin, and 8+8-pin, you are set to work once the proper connectors are screwed into place.

The buyer must have at least one EVGA GTX 1080, GTX 1070, or GTX 1060 product registered to their account. Only one adapter can be ordered per card and a maximum of 4 can be purchased in the name on one person or one household.

If the GTZ 10 Series has been purchased from an EVGA store, then the receipt isn't required. In case of a purchase made from any other store, a valid receipt, uploaded to EVGA will have to be furnished.

"Once approved, customers must pay a shipping and handling fee as determined by EVGA. No other shipping methods will be available for this promotion," the company states to Digital Trends. "PowerLinks will generally ship within 1 to 3 business days from EVGA once shipping and handling cost is paid by the customer."

It has been made clear by the company that the on-going offer will last only for a limited period. If you haven't already registered for the GTX 10 series cards, do it now. Although the free accessory will add up a little to the cost because of shipping and handling fee, however small that may be, it's a good time to get hold of one of those cards.
