Robots Replacing Human Workers: Is It time To Find A New Job?
2020 may be full of surprises and new historical breakthroughs but there's something more to it. In Four Years from now, robots will reportedly steal five million Human Jobs. The World Economic Forum released this figure recently, predicting an upcoming Fourth Industrial Revolution.
U.S. and Canada have already lost 5.6 million jobs in the last decade. Though, international trade also played a part, 85 percent of the job losses were due to Robots replacing Human workers in the Industries. Previous industrial revolution though has leaped human workforce forward, the upcoming fourth industrial revolution may send us back, reports DigitalTrends.

Here's What Experts Say:
In a recent study, the researchers at the WEF stated that the current trends could lead to a loss of 5.1 million jobs over the period 2015-2020. They also estimate that about 7.1 million jobs will be lost as a result of our innovations replacing us in our work fields.
If you're thinking this is something you'd leave for the future, you should think again. The trend has already been started and millions of workers have already lost their jobs. A government official recently told the South China Morning Post that the Apple and Samsung supplier 'Foxconn' has already replaced 60,000 of its factory workers with robots.
Which Jobs Are To Be Affected?
According to the WEF researchers, two-thirds of the affected jobs will be Office and Administration related. Of course the industries, like manufacturing and production, where machines are already playing a large part will undergo further robot substitution.
The Forum, however states that a large share of the global workforce will remain employed in the agriculture sector. It is still unclear how the technology advances will affect the Agricultural workers especially in countries with very little technological infrastructure.
Wait, There's Good News As Well?
Some experts believe that though robots will replace human workers, they'll also provide us with better, less-hectic and more meaningful jobs. Using Robots in place of humans doesn't only make the Job safer but they're more reliable as well. Additionally they're cost-effective and prevent the non-ethical treatment of human workforce.
The resulting savings will produce more desirable jobs. New jobs will be created that may require and hence build a highly skilled and more educated workforce. The robots may replace humans for a short-term but there will be long-term benefits to the society as a whole.
All this was explained fairly well in a recent Washington Post article, which stated how the technological advances lead to a better society. In spite of what people fear and believe, robots are still revolutionizing the industry. They may replace the human workforce in Industries but it'd benefit the society as a whole and that's what matters the most. After all we all will be getting better and comfortable jobs. It does sound like a good deal.
