Sony PlayStation VR Installation Guide
The long wait was over! You now have a Sony PlayStation VR, your very own Virtual Reality System.
And then it hit you. How would you assemble such a complicated device!
Here's your step by step guide to fully take advantage of your new Sony PlayStation VR.
First, familiarize yourself in the devices needed for the assembly of your Sony PlayStation Virtual Reality System.
- Cable #1: PlayStation VR HDMI Cable
- Cable #2: USB Cable
- Cable #3: AC adapter
- Cable #4: VR headset connection cable
- Cable #5: VR headset cord
- HDMI Cable
- AC power cord
- Stereo Headphones
- Processor unit
- PlayStation camera
Carefully follow the steps to ensure that every device will be connected correctly.
First, you should already have a PlayStation camera connected to your PlayStation 4. And TV also connected to your PlayStation 4.
Step 1: Disconnect the HDMI cable from your PlayStation 4 and connect it at the back of your processor unit. Be sure that the other end of the HDMI cable is connected to your TV.
Step 2: Take the PlayStation VR HDMI cable number 1 and use it to connect your processor to your PlayStation 4.
Step 3: Get the USB cable number 2. Connect one end to your PlayStation 4 and the other end in to the back of the processor unit.
Step 4: Connect the AC power cord to the AC adapter labeled number 3. Plug the other end to your processor unit and then the free end goes to the wall outlet. This will power up the processor unit.
Step 5: Connect one end of the PlayStation VR headset connection cable number 4 to the processing unit. Remember, you need to slide back the right front side of the processor unit to open the ports, then get the VR headset connection cable number 4 and line up the symbols found on the cable corresponding to the symbols on the ports of the processor unit.
Step 6: After plugging the PlayStation VR headset connection cable number 4 to your processor unit, slide the cover back.
Step 7: Get the other end of the PlayStation VR headset connection cable number 4 and plug it to the PlayStation VR headset cord cable number 5. Make sure that the symbols on the PlayStation VR headset connection cable number 4 also corresponds to the symbols found in the PlayStation VR headset cord cable number 5.
Step 8: Get the stereo headphones and plug it on the jack of the inline remote. To give you a full sound effect, it is highly advisable to use top of the line headphones with noise cancellation and surround sound capabilities.
Step 9: Here's the tricky part. First, turn on your TV, then your PlayStation 4 and your PlayStation VR headset last. The blue tracking lights at the back of your PlayStation VR headset will glow indicating that everything is connected properly.
Step 10: Step back and admire your work.
You are now ready to conquer the world of Virtual Reality!
