'Spider-Man' PS4 Release Date, Rumors, Update: Spot, Green Goblin, Mister Negative, The Vulture To Get Featured? Support For PS4, PS4 Pro Confirmed?
Rumors are that the highly anticipated gaming title "Spider-Man" for PS4 will possibly feature a slew of popular Marvel characters. Notably, nothing much has been announced by game developer Insomniac Games about the "Spider-Man" for PS4 release date or gameplay.
WhatCulture has reportedly prepared a list of ten characters from previous mythos who could possibly play the role of villains in the upcoming "Spider-Man" game. The list includes Mister Negative, The Tinkerer, Spot, Alistair Smythe the Spider-Slayer, J. Jonah Jameson, The Vulture, The Jackal, Massacre, Green Goblin and The Inheritors.
It is to be noted that the in-game engine demo, which was screened during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 conference, teased Mister Negative and Green Goblin as two of the main villains of the "Spider-Man" PS4 game. The game trailer featured Spiderman fighting with masked criminals resembling Mister Negative's gang. Oscorp also appeared in the video background hinting an appearance of Norman Osborn.
As far as "Spider-Man" PS4 gameplay is concerned, the upcoming gaming title is expected to be a standalone story, with no link to the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie or even the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The game is expected to feature a huge open-world gameplay in New York.
The news that the upcoming game will not be PS4 Pro exclusive came a sigh of relief for PS4 gamers. It was announced at the recent PlayStation meeting that the upcoming "Spider-Man" game will work well on all models of PS4. It was also confirmed that though the developers already have a playable build of "Spider-Man" for PS4 ready, they won't roll out the gameplay anytime soon.
Sony and Marvel are yet to announce a release date for the still untitled "Spider-Man" for PS4 game. However, it is expected that game won't be launched until 2018.
