Pixel features a 5" AMOLED display coupled with an FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels of 441 PPI. Meanwhile, the Nexus 5x sports a 5.2-inch FHD LCD with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution of 424 PPI. The latest Google flagship has a polished metal glass frame whereas the 5X comprises of polycarbonate construction.

Google Pixel clearly leads the Nexus 5X in tersms of hardware specs. Pixel is powered by a Qualcomm 821 quad processor, packing 4GB RAM and 32 GB/128 GB of non-expandable Memory. 5X however, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexacore processor with 2GB RAM and a 16GB/32 GB internal memory. The Pixel features a comparatively better 2,660 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging capacity whereas the Nexus 5X features a 2,700 mAh non-removable battery.

Camera Comparison:
Pixel has a notable 12.3 MP sensor offering a f/2.0 aperture with an 8MP front camera. Nexus 5X features a 5MP front camera and 12.3 MP Sony IMX377 for the rear camera and. Pixel camera received a score of 89 from DxOMark , which is the highest score yet for a smartphone.

Other Specs Comparison:
Nexus 5X features Android Nougat 7.0 with a large front-facing speaker. It also has a fingerprint sensor which even allows the user to authorize online purchases. Nexus 5X is available for a price of $349 for 16GB model and $399 for its 32GB variant.
Google's Pixel also has an Android finger-print sensor allowing users to unlock their device and also authorize mobile payments. The smart-phone is also splash and dust resistant. Pixel will also be running on Android Nougat 7.1 costing around $650.

The Nexus 5X model lags behind Pixel in some features including the Google assistant, the Pixel launcher and an unlimited Back up for photos. Based on the $250 price difference, the given specs seem worth the extra price. Google Pixel is clearly the better phone among the two. Both smart-phones are available for pre-order and will hit the market on October 20.
