BMW is about to make another new addition to it's a seventh generation 5-Series, launching a new version of the Alpina B5 Touring G31 model. A prototype for the car was spied undergoing test drives ahead of the car's likely debut early in 2017. This upcoming version is expected to have some new features but at the same time should also retain its originality and uniqueness including the Biturbo acceleration.

Complete Review:

The B5 G31 is clearly not another prototype for BMW's M5 as the car features some of the signature designs of the Alpina including the wide, horizontal intake up front as well as the multi-spoke wheels. Here's what we know about the Car so far:

Specs:

Top Speed reports that the new 5-Series Alpina B5 Touring G31 will feature the outgoing model's 4.4-liter V8 and will also have two powerplant options including an all aluminum six as well as a four-cylinder option offering a Biturbo Acceleration. Equipped with this amazing dual dose of turbocharged integrity, the enhanced eight-cylinder will give an output of at least some 600 horsepower. The 600hp Output of the which translates into 800Nm is expected to compete at the B7 levels, Alpina B5 nearly matching the Output of the upcoming BMW M5. Another Alpina D5 model is also rumored to under development featuring a straight-six diesel combined with three turbos, giving a power output 400hp,reports Carscoops.

Looks And Interior:

The 2017 B5 Touring G31 features a wide and horizontal intake up front combined with the faster dual-exhaust lines at either rear bumper sides. The Car is also expected to feature multiple driving modes. The interior offers a luxurious and uber-cozy cabin that is installed with the latest technology. The powerful turbocharged engine also does provide a subtle enrichment.

The previous BMW Alpine B5 hasn't been sold in the United States yet and probably the new one also won't be launched either. The reason being its straight forward competition with the M5 as well as the M550i xDrive Models of the same manufacturer.

Release Date / Price:

Clearly, the 2017 BMW Alpina B5 is not that different from the other models of the 5 series, still, its superb alteration has made it strong enough to stand out alone in a crowd. The pricing for the new Seventh Generation B5 is expected to be around $110,000.The Alpina B5 will be revealed officially next year as a 2017 model.
