BMW K1600B Bagger Unveiled : First Looks Suggests Comfort And Style

BMW released its new touring bike, K1600B Bagger. The bike was launched at Peterson automotive museum at Log Angeles. Design-wise, K1600 Bagger is a treat to watch with its all black with a metallic finish.

K1600B Bagger has drop-shaped bigger silhouette and has deep-set side cases. Silencers are fully chrome plated and they run parallel to the road. The majority of the other designs are based on old 1600 GT. Present seat in K1600B Bagger is much lower than its old version. The styling of the bike in done by keeping in mind wind protection.

When BMW launched K1600 GT and GTL it basically turned its inline six-cylinder engine into a bike. K1600B Bagger is specially designed for American grand tourer and it is loosely based on the concept 101 from 2015's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

To adapt all the traction on road surface changes, the road setting of K1600 is fully automated. K1600B Bagger  can work in two modes, Road and Cruise. To enable this feature, an electronic suspension system works with dynamic traction control system. The cylinder motor carriers are 160hp and 129-pound feet of torque.

Some of the transmission tech included in K1600B are shift assistant pro. This function helps bike rider to shift without using a clutch. K1600B has a reverse assist as well, this feature blocks the forward gear and can be operated from the handlebars, reported Digitaltrends.

The speedometer and speed display have been updated as compared to the last model. In a case of an accident, an emergency call is on board for the safety of the drivers. In such scenarios an alarm in automatically triggers giving the status of the bike to emergency unit, reported BMW group.

President of BMW Motorrad, Stephen Schaller stated that after Germany, USA is the second most importer of bikes. Hence, in coming years BMW sees a great potential in the USA market. This Means Rider will get access to more amazing bikes such as K1600B Bagger.
