Tesla Unveils Part 2 Of Its ‘2016 Model 3’: Complete Specs, Features, Release Date And Interior Concept Revealed
The countdown for Tesla's most awaited Car, the Tesla Model 3 has begun. However, before the big 2016 reveal, company CEO Elon Musk has again surprised the EV fans by unveiling something about the 2 part of the Model 3.
There have been rumors about Tesla revealing a car with advanced Autopilot features, especially after the fatal accident in May that claimed the life of a Model S driver. By announcing the 2 part of the Model 3, Tesla has finally found a catalyst it needed to maintain its EV market position. Here's everything we know about the Tesla Model 3 Part 2 so far:

Tesla Model 3 Part 2 Complete Specs:
Tesla Model 3 part 2 will feature the same design traits of the model 3, including the grille-less, flat face on the front. The new design is basically modified for its aerodynamic purposes, giving the Model 3 part 2 a drag coefficient of just 0.21cd.
Features:
Smaller in size than the Model S, the rear overhangs and short fronts of the Model 3 downsize its entire profile. The part 2 model of the upcoming car will also feature alloy wheels and will come in various exterior color choices including a dark blue and a matte black version.
Tesla hasn't given any official statements about the part 2 Model 3's interior. However, reports indicate that like the Tesla Model 3, the part 2 models will also feature a central touchscreen along with steering wheel and pedals, indicating self-driving capabilities.
Electrek reports that the interior space will be very much flexible with the folding seats that can be completely folded flat. The car's cargo space can be expanded from the back of the front seats to the end of the cabin by folding up the back seats.

Self-driving technology-
Earlier in January, Musk had stated that in just a few years, Tesla will develop full-vehicle autonomy. Although the Model 3 is the cheapest car in Tesla's EV lineup, part 2 of the Model 3 is expected to come with some advanced self-driving features. As Tesla's current Autopilot already features autonomous changing lanes, avoiding collisions, and parallel parking, the part 2 model 3 is expected to have something more of an updated Autopilot System.
In a recent announcement, the EV manufacturer said that all its upcoming models will have the hardware capable of Level 5 autonomous driving. The Model 3 will most probably come with this hardware update. However, to activate this Autopilot feature, you may have to pay at least $5,000.
Range And Capacity
Tesla Model 3 part 2 is expected to travel more than 215 miles when fully charged. Tesla may have achieved this by making use of the dual-motor powertrain in the Model 3. According to CarBuyer, Buyers will be able to choose a four-wheel drive dual-motor electric propulsion as well. The upcoming model has an amazing acceleration of 0-62mph in even less than six seconds. The Ludicrous mode will also be made available in Part 2 Tesla's Model 3.
Release Date and production
As the first deliveries of the Model 3 are set for late 2017, part 2 of the EV will be coming on much later. The Model 3 Part 2 will be available for at least £30,000, while the owners may have to pay more to get extra features including the Supercharger access, dual motor, and Autopilot.
In his recent stream of tweets, Musk has repeatedly focused on a "part 2" version of the Model 3. Although we still don't know whether Part 2 of the Model 3 EV will be self-driving or not, Musk gave the fans a sign when he said that the lack of a dashboard will make sense after part 2.
