Halloween With ‘Pokémon Go’: Niantic Labs Might Plan On Reviving AGR Weariness; Unique Ghost Pokémon And More!
It's not new that the commotion around "Pokémon Go" has worn out to some extent. A number of players have gone idle on this augmented-reality mobile app these days. But, Niantic Labs isn't looking to back out this fast. Upcoming Halloween gives the company a new idea to revive the boredom.
The "Pokémon Go" Halloween event is rumored to be under development by the Niantic devs bringing out the Pokémon fanatics back on the track to try the app. There were little occasions where the company discussed event and future plans for the game. But, one of the limited conferences held in September did feature CEO, John Hanke, talking about a possible gathering event in later months.
Here, is a tweet hinting the arrival of the event:

This gives us a hint for a possible Halloween event with "Pokémon Go" mobile game. This online gathering is likely to feature a massive social and competitive feature for the millions of players worldwide. Such features are also seen in Niantic Lab's second AGR game, "Ingress." So, there is a possibility for a Halloween themed event on "Pokemon Go."
Devs predicted the "Pokémon Go" app to slacken with time
There had been indications on this to happen as per developers working at Niantic. The game did gained a lot of traffic due to its uniqueness, but with limited functionality this was destined to happen. Niantic Labs, therefore, is likely to use the upcoming Halloween as a possible attraction for the "Pokémon Go" application. This was rumored through a post on the company's official page.
"With Halloween around the corner, we anticipate Trainers may encounter more Pokémon in the real world. The AR camera is a great way to capture and share these encounters with your friends!" Niantic Labs posted on FB.
Possible features to come in the Halloween event with "Pokémon Go"
Pokémon fans may witness a number of new features during this social event. According to Phonearena, there are speculations on spawning of unique Pokémon if there is a Halloween event on this popular augmented reality mobile app. Plus, there are rumors that players are able to share their locations where they catch such unique Pokémon. This way other friends will also be able to travel to that location and try catching one for themselves.
Another tweet related to the possible Halloween "Pokémon Go" event:
Who's excited to catch Pokémon while Trick-or-Treating? Use the AR camera and share these encounters with us using #PokemonHalloween. pic.twitter.com/SXjjBLe6PX — Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) October 20, 2016
More reports on the event state that there will be 'ghost Pokémon' everywhere in the world during the event. Niantic devs might be planning to modify their spawn rate so you might be seeing Haunters, Gengars and Gastlys all around you.
Event could last 24 hours or more!
"Pokemon Go" players will not just find such features during the Halloween night. Niantic Labs plans on adding this feature for 24 hours or more to give players a new exciting experience.
However, we still need to get confirmation on their planning for the event. Let us know what you think about a Halloween with "Pokémon Go" event. Do you think it will be a success?
