OnePlus 3T With Android 7.0 Nougat Leaked on Weibo: Rumored To Arrive Before OnePlus 4?

OnePlus has performed quite well with all its previous phones. The same goes for the OnePlus 3. And, when it was indicated that the OnePlus 4 is the next in the series, another phone pops out of nowhere. The phone, called as the OnePlus 3T, recently got viral through a post on Weibo. And, people are hyped over this update.

The post was identified to be updated using a device known as the OnePlus 3T. There were no other details about the post, but it did confirms rumors about a new OnePlus variant other than the OnePlus 4.

OnePlus 3T: T for "Turbo"?

Besides this commotion, there have been reports on China Compulsory Certification (3C) clearing a OnePlus smartphone with model number A301. Rumors suggested this device of being the OnePlus 3 Plus or OnePlus 3S. But, the tag in the post was later edited to avoid revealing the new phone which could be the OnePlus 3T. Some even say that the "T" in the 3T stands for "Turbo" which indicates a faster processor upgrade over the previous model.

The possibility of the OnePlus 3T could let buyers get their hands on a revamped OnePlus 3. And, reports indicate that it might be released before the upcoming OnePlus 4. Confirmation regarding an official reveal is still not out yet.

OnePlus 3T to get Android 7.0 Nougat and SnapDragon 821 chipset?

A few sources predict that the possible OnePlus 3T could come with a SnapDragon 821 processor chipset and 2.4 GHz. This gives us a hint about the updated specs on the rumored OnePlus variant. The idea is to revive the already launched OnePlus 3 so that it can still be in the competition against the latest models like the Google Pixel.

The phone is likely to feature Android 7.0 Nougat with an Oxygen OS system first hand. A certain feature so far about the OnePlus 3T is that it might use an Optic AMOLED display. OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei was reported tweeting about this update. And, this display is likely to stay in all the upcoming One Plus variants.

Design features are rumored to stay the same on the device

The OnePlus 3T might keep the OnePlus 3's all-metal design on the boosted-up hardware specs. Other features such as Smart Capture camera and Dash Charge are expected to accompany the device as well.
