2017 Apple iMac & Cinema Display Release Date, Rumors & Updates: Apple Delays The Next iMac? Here’s Why

As Apple Mac Event 2016 approaches, there are rumors spreading about Apple only launching the new MacBooks at the event. This has risen a speculation that Apple might not reveal the 2017 Apple iMac. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities-based Apple analyst, the company might is planning to focus only on the launch of three new laptops this year. Kuo also added that the Cupertino plans on launching the new Apple iMac 2017 next year, along with a new Cinema Display.

2017 Apple iMac To Be Delayed-

Such rumors are said to spread due to unavailability of the Intel Kaby Lake processor chips used in desktops. Intel's production for the processors will start by the end of December 2016. These chips will then be available after February 2017. So, this has caused a delay in the production of a new iMac.

Apple Cinema Display Delayed As Well-

Kuo also said that the Apple will not reveal a revamped Apple Cinema Display at the Apple Mac Event. It has been six years since the last Apple Cinema Display came out. And, Apple stopped producing it in 2013. And, even when Apple revealed the first 5K iMac in 2014, there were hopes for a new Cinema Display as well. But, nothing as such happened back then. It just thought that the 5K iMac would be enough to impress the customers.

Just 2 days from now, Apple will pull the curtains off the highly-awaited MacBook Pro 2016. With that, the new MacBook Air 2016 will also be revealed. You will be able to get the MacBook Pro in both 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. But, the MacBook Air might not get a 13-inch model, according to rumors. There is also news from last week that Apple is abandoning the 11-inch MacBook Air laptops as well.
