The publisher has also announced that a patch for the console systems are soon to come out as well.

No updates on unveiling of "Dead Island 2" yet

Deep Silver has still not been quoted on the reveal of the upcoming "Dead Island 2" title. According to reports, the publisher is facing issues with the development team. The first two titles for "Dead Island" were planned for development under Techland. Also, Deep Silver had moved its focus towards the other popular title, "Dying Light" which took a lot of their time.

Deep Silver also updated that Techland is no longer working on the "Dead Island 2" title. So, the project was passed on to Yager Development in July 2015. But, According to Eurogamer, the title will be passed on to yet another developer from Yager Development.

Another update came up that the game was passed on to Sumo Digital which is also working on "Crackdown 3" by Microsoft Studios. And, Deep Silver planned on releasing the game in 2016. But, with just a few months' time left, it is a tentative situation for the game to come out this year.

Deep Silver's recent tweet told us that "Dead Island 2" is still work in progress. So, we might have to wait for it for a while.
