Apple Ipad Pro Mini 2017 Preview: Release Date Next Week? Price And Specs Finally Revealed
This is the first time in the past 4 years that Apple has failed to launch a new iPad model. Fans have been waiting for the official reveal of the 2017 Apple iPad Pro Mini since the tech giant released its iPhone 7 smartphones earlier. Now, if some leaks are to be believed then Apple may announce the release date of theApple iPad Pro Mini 2017 model in the company's October launch event.
Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 Preview:
The last model, the iPad mini 4 was launched in September last year. The company has since then remained silent about the release date of the upcoming Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017. The new iPad model will come with major design changes, improved specs and a number of new features that will make it one of the top tablets in the market at present. Here's what we know about the Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 so far:
Release Date To Be Announced Next Week?
Despite what the fans were hoping for, no news about the Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 was announced at Apple's earlier event held on September 7. This clearly means that the new iPad Pro mini will probably be released in early March 2017. Although the Tech Giant has previously released a number of iPad mini models at the end of the year, there has not been any official announcement for a 2016 Apple iPad Pro Mini release.
MacWorld reports that Apple has also earlier sent out invitations for its press event on upcoming Thursday 27 October, which is going to be held at its Cupertino headquarters. There, however, is a very little chance that the smartphone manufacturer will announce the Apple iPad Pro Mini release date.

Looks And Design Changes
The earlier iPad mini 4 has plenty of loose ends, which would probably be tightened up with the reveal of the Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017. The new tablet will have a slimmer design and new features added to the older ones. While the two devices are expected to look alike, we can very well predict that the 2017 Apple iPad Pro Mini will have a more radical redesign.
Cult of Mac reports that the 2017 Apple iPad Pro Mini will feature a new thinner battery giving it a slimmer design. Although the 2017 tablet's battery unit may be smaller in comparison with the 5,124mAh mini 4 components, the superior battery technology in the 2017 Apple iPad Pro Mini would still be able to compete with its predecessor's battery performance.

The Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 will also feature a 3D Touch pressure-sensitive screen, which Apple has currently deployed in its iPhone 6s and 6s Plus smartphones. Although we cannot definitely say if the new Mini Tablet will spec a headphone jack or not but what we do know is that the 2017 Apple iPad Pro Mini is waterproof as well as dust-resistant.
Rumors also suggest that the next gen Pro Mini will replace the earlier 7.9" display with a larger 10.5" display. The Apple iPad Pro Mini is expected to run on Apple's latest iOS 10 operating system. PCAdvisor reports that while there would be no changes in the camera specs, the upcoming tablet will have a protective aluminum chassis.
Price And Release Date
Taking into consideration the price tags of the earlier models, Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 is expected to hit the stores with a price tag of £319 for the base model. However, if Apple decides to replace the 16GB memory with 32, 64 or 128GB storage sizes, the base price may rise up to £349.
Although it will mostly focus on the launch of Apple MacBook Pro 2016, the release date of the Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 will also be most probably announced at the Apple's event on October 27. Stay tuned To SWR for latest news and updates on Apple iPad Pro Mini 2017 release date, specs and price.
