Jaguar XF Sportbrake 2017 Launch Confirmed, Spied Testing Pictures Reveal First Look
The launch of Jaguar XF Sportbrake has been confirmed to happen in 2017. To further confirm the news, spied pictures of testing at the Nurburgring race track in Germany have been revealed online.
Jaguar sales boss Andy Goss, as reported in Autoexpress , told the media,
"There are going to be more additions to the Jaguar family in 2017 and I can confirm that one of these will be the new XF Sportbrake."
The Jaguar XF Sportbrake 2017 has its style inspired from the Saloon model of 2015. The front is recognizable with the huge load-lugger. The roofline appears higher with a versatile load bay.
The XF Sportbrake 2017 will have an increased boot space along 600 liters, expandable to 1700 liters with the folding of the rear seats.The Jaguar will also feature floor rail fixing system and a powered tailgate. The rear profile is expected to be more coupe-like shape than a traditional estate.
The XF is expected to have a twin half-hoop LED lights and shallower back windows similar to the F-Pace SUVs.
Engines will be 161bhp at the entry level.An extreme SVR model of Jaguar 2017 is also expected to compete with Mercedes-AMG and Audi RS.
Jaguar design director Ian Callum, who was misquoted earlier, clarified saying, "I was asked if we'd ever build an XE wagon - and we won't,but XF would be a very pretty car."
Callum has confirmed XF Sportbrake will be different from the traditional models and will be made more practical , all purpose car.
The XF Sportbrake falls in the same segment as Volvo V90, Porsche Panamera Wagon, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon, reported Motor Authority.
The Jaguar XF Sportbrake is expected to launch at the Frankfurt auto show in 2017. It is expected to be sold in the US by 2018 as confirmed by Jaguar Land Rover North America CEO.
