OnePlus Android 7.0 Nougat Update: Update For OnePlus 3, OnePlus 2, OnePlus X To Roll Out Soon!

An online sneak peak of a OnePlus 3 smartphone running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update let OnePlus users globally expect that the same update would be rolled out for OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X soon.

Pete Lau, the CEO of the Chinese company recently shared a video that showcased a OnePlus 3 phone being navigated in the newest Android OS version. As recalled few months ago, the smartphone got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update which was expected to be the last OS update. But with these recent reports, it seems like the phone company won't stop surprising their consumers.

Althoung calculated as one of the newest smartphone manufacturers in the world, OnePlus is currently compared to tech giants like Samsung and Apple. Dubbed as underdog in the smartphone industry, OnePlus slowly continues to improve its smartphone designs to keep them distinct from what is offered in the market, Softpedia reported.

The OnePlus 3 smartphone has garnered praises even prior to the upcoming Android OS update. Although the smartphone is not as high-ticket as Samsung's S7 Edge and Note series, OnePlus 3 is proving its worth being called as OnePlus' "flagship killer," iTech Post reported.

Being called as "flagship killer", OnePlus 3 is equipped with a 6GB RAM, 64 GB storage, Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 16 MP/8 MP camera feature. The affordability of OnePlus 3 has been one also of the reasons why it's saleable in the market. Even with a decent price tag of $399, OnePlus 3 has relived to the expectations of its buyers. The slick design and ultra-fast fingerprint scanner feature of the OnePlus smartphone has also been compared  to Apple's iPhone series.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is set to release its anticipated new flagship device very soon. The upcoming OnePlus 3T will be the successor of OnePlus 3 which comes with improved specifications from its predecessor.  Users of OnePlus X and OnePlus 2 may also try to update their phones to Android 7.0 Nougat using CyanogenMod.
