Apple Watch: Nike+ Edition Gets Rolled Out With A $369 Price Tag
Apple's latest smartwatch, Nike+ is now up for grabs for $369. The new sport-focused watch from the tech giant company went on sale last Friday.
The Nike+ smartwatch edition, which has been manufactured by Apple in collabaration with Nike, is suitable for those who need a partner for their active lifestyle. This new offering from Apple is specially designed for individuals who love to work out. It aims to serve as a fitness buddy that will prompt its users to exercise, Telegraph reported.
Cyclists, runners, and walkers can take advantage of the improved GPS functionality of Apple Nike+. The smartwatch lets fitness enthusiasts execute their routines in a longer distance while leaving their smartphones behind. Nike+ edition is also set up to bring all the features of the Nike phone app directly to the new Apple watch. The latest smartwatch will also let wearers connect with their friends and join the Nike Running Club.
Notably, despite the high anticipation for Apple's Nike+ smartwatch edition, statistics can't hide the fact that smart watch sales across all brands have been declining. as per reports, Apple alone experienced seventy-two percent decline in its smartwatch sales. The Cupertino sold around 3.9 million watches last year as compared to 1.1 million Apple watches this year.
Other than Apple, other smartwatch makers including Samsung and Garmin have also been affected by declining sales. The dip in terms of sales across all brands is estimated to be around fifty-two percent as compared to last year, Inquisitr reported. Speculations are that smartwatch sales will continue to decline in the near future as they still don't have features that consumers would want to see. Users tend to look forward to the ability of these innovated watches to answer emails.
However, Apple is confident that the newly launched Apple Watch: Nike+ Edition will relieve the smartwatch sales trend.
