During her pregnancy, fitness guru Chontel Duncan made headlines due to her six-pack abs. She maintained a toned body and lean muscles throughout the pregnancy. However, the same reason led to serious labor complications.

According to News.com.au, ripping baby Jeremiah from Duncan's tummy was a struggle, for her six-pack abs locked him in. Her strong core made it hard for doctors to deliver her baby. While she hoped to give birth naturally, the doctors recommended surgery. Wanting the best for her baby, the 27-year-old immediately signed the forms and gave birth to her son in March via C-section.

The surgeon needed to cut Duncan further and take her baby out using forceps. For that, there was likewise a need to cut her tummy on the right side. The fitness guru had her baby after 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, Mail Online reported that Duncan healed normally although she had a large scar. She said she would love to have three more children and she will aim for vaginal birth for each of them.

They are memories of the day we all became mummies, " Duncan said as she took to social media to share her experience on labor complications due to her six-pack abs and surviving them. Her post has earned around 12,000 times, and numerous mothers praised the fitness guru for opening up. One woman also narrated her C-section experience as she wrote positive words for Duncan.

After the doctors gave her the go signal, Duncan immediately got back into her intense exercise regime. She proudly shares it with her 572,000 followers.

Duncan is the founder of HIIT Australia. She was likewise once a Miss Universe contestant. Seven months after giving birth and surviving labor complications, she decided to open up about her experience despite having attracted criticism in the past due to her barely there bump.
