Apple iPhone 8 Release Date, Specs, Price: Next Gen iPhone To Feature Wireless Charging!

Apple is going to celebrate iPhone's 10th anniversary next year. After almost a decade of manufacturing smartphones globally, the upcoming iPhone 8 is rumored to come with wireless charging feature. The implementation of the new wired-free charging feature is rumoured to be in the process under Foxconn's operations. Some reports shared that  Apple contractors are currently working to produce wireless charging modules for the next generation iPhones.

Foxconn Technology Group, also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, is still measuring the yield rate of the new feature. Prior to its effectivity, Apple will check if the wireless charging innovation of iPhone 8 will click the market, Nikkei Asian Review reported.

An all-wireless smartphone has been anticipated worldwide. The 2017 iPhone 8 is expected to come sans the headphone jack, same as iPhone 7, along with the wireless charging feature. Notably,  Apple smartwatch already comes with the wireless charging feature. Although some Apple watch users provided a negative feedback about the feature being slow, some reports still suggested that having the feature in the upcoming iPhone 8 will be a good idea.

Providing Apple consumers with the new wireless charging capability is considered as part of Apple's plan to boost iPhone sales. The Cupertino's 10th year iPhone offering is expected to make up for the past quarter sales dip.

Meanwhile, Apple will continue to reserve features like OLED technology on the upcoming 2017 flagship device. The iPhone 8 series is also rumoured to have size options. The size options will be positioned between 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch formats which were seen before in iPhone 6, Apple Insider reported.
