2017 Toyota Land Cruiser: Complete Review

The last model of the Toyota Land Cruiser hardly felt like an actual land cruiser. Now, with the reveal of the new SUV land cruiser at the 2016 SEMA Show, Toyota is again redefining the definition of a Land Cruiser. The 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser has been built to access world's most remote places and offers eight passengers sitting capacity. Here's what we know about the world's fastest SUV so far:

2017 Toyota Land Cruiser: Specs And Features

The latest Land Cruiser is Toyota's response to the Range Rover. While the Land Cruisers are not usually associated with speed, upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser SUV may be an exception. The Land Cruiser has a bit of redesign and comprises a four-wheel-drive system, 27.6" of fording depth and 8.9" of ground clearance.

Weighing nearly three-tons, the 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser SUV is powered by the 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with Toyota's massive turbochargers. The volley-ball sized turbos located on each side of the V8 engine give an output of 2,000 horsepower. This clearly means that this Land Cruiser is almost twice as powerful as the Bugatti Veyron. Although Toyota hasn't yet officially released many details on the 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser, but the images reveal the SUV offering a lower ride on custom wheels.

Other pictures of the SUV also reveal a rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and a front air dam, improving the aerodynamic performance to hit a top speed of 220mph. It's also worth noticeable that the Land Cruiser uses cameras instead of the standard rearview mirrors.

2017 Toyota Land Cruiser: Interior

The Land Cruiser is capable of accommodating 8 passengers comfortably. Both the front and passenger seats are leather-trimmed, multi-stage heated and well ventilated. Even the steering wheel has been leather-trimmed, which is not only heated but also features controls for the audio system, Multi-Information Display as well as the Bluetooth wireless technology.

2017 Toyota Land Cruiser's dashboard has a sleeker design, which incorporates a high-resolution large touch-screen display along with intuitive controls. The SUV also offers a climate control system like never before. All the passengers in the front and second rows, including the driver will be able to adjust their own environments using the 28 vents in the cabin. The cabin space can be increased to 81.7 cubic feet by folding the third and second-row seats.

2017 Toyota Land Cruiser: Release Date and Price

Available for a price tag of $84,325, the SUV is expected to hit the markets in the second quarter of 2017. The Land Cruiser have 13 mpg city, 18 highway and 15 combined ratings. Stay Tuned to SWR for more updates and the latest news on the 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser.
