2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence Complete Review[VIDEO]: Launched In Australia For $104,900 Price; Check Specs, Interior Feature, US Release Date Here

Described as "The Pinnacle of modern Scandinavian luxury" on its official website, the 2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence has finally been launched for purchase in Australia. Available at a starting price tag of $172,200, Volvo's uber-luxury SUV is the new addition to the XC90 family.

2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence will replace the earlier T8 R-Design variant in the lineup, which was available at $122,950 plus on-road taxes. Here's what we know about the latest Volvo SUV so far:

The XC90 T8 Excellence is powered by the same plug-in hybrid engine as that featured in the earlier T8 R-Design. The engine combines the power of a turbocharged as well as a supercharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a battery powertrain and an electric motor. The hybrid system will give a power output of 300kW and a torque of 640Nm to the 2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence. The SUV will reportedly be a four wheels drive. Use of the top-line XC90 T8 Twin Engine, clearly means that the Power will be rated at least 400 horsepower.

2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence: Interior

 The Luxury SUV has a four-seat layout in a limousine-style, which includes individual rear bucket seats. The seats are adjustable electronically, and are also well heated, ventilated and provide a soothing massage-like feel to the passengers . Other features of the 2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence include individual touchscreen entertainment systems for the rear passengers as well as a center console that extends to the second row.

The cabin also comprises of built-in tables with temperature controlled cupholders for Volvo's crystal glasses. The seats have been specifically trimmed in perforated Nappa leather, which is available in beige and charcoal versions. The center console contains an in-built refrigerator as well as a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, which ensure a premium luxury experience.

The XC90 T8 Excellence features noise-cancelling rubber base tires for its eight-spoke 21" alloy wheels. The exterior matches the luxury concepts featured in the Range Rover SV Autobiography and the Bentley Bentayga, which have starting prices from $347,900 and $420,600 respectively.

2017 Volvo XC90 T8 Excellence is currently available in ten colors options. These include seven different shades of white, gray and black, Magic Blue, Twilight Bronze as well as Luminous Sand. It's not yet officially revealed whether the latest baby capsule and ottoman concepts will be featured as options in the Luxury SUV.
