Tinder Down: Millions Devastated As Earlier Matches Deleted, User Forced To Go Dateless, A Trick To Get Your Matches Back
The internet matchmaking site tinder was down yesterday leaving millions of users frustrated and without a date. Users across the UK, Europe and US faced issues with logging in, deleted matches and inability to send messages.
Website service checker Down Detector reported that the problems occurred from around 2pm-8pm EST last night. It is not the first time that the dating site tinder was down. A few weeks ago it had faced a similar problem, as reported by Daily Mail. The reason for Tinder being down was not clear yet. Tinder does not reply on the problem. It conveniently chooses to ignore the questions via social media.
Tinder currently has seven million monthly users and with the app going down many people was left dateless. Some users reacted hilariously on Twitter.
Can someone confirm that tinder is down please? Starting to think these girls might be ignoring me #thanksinadvance

Tinder's servers are down right now so ladies I'm going to ask you to reject me through this site instead — Damon Fermo (@damonfermo) November 15, 2016
It is still unclear why Tinder was facing such disruptions as it regularly updates its features. Recently it introduced a feature called 'Smart Photos'. This feature reordered photos of users to make the best-suited one as the display picture. It uses an algorithm that realigns the pictures based on the swipes of other users.
An update from a few downdetector users suggested that the deleted matched were coming back. If you have also lost your matched then you can get them back by a simple trick. Users need to log-out and log-in again to get the deleted matches back. This method has worked for some users but is not a guaranteed solution. Since, Tinder has given no official statement or solution; users can use all methods at their disposal to get the matches back.
With the same issue occurring repeatedly users are hoping that Tinder takes a note of their inconvenience and makes sure such problems do not occur again. Well, if that does not happen there are other apps out too. Where you affected by Tinder being down? Let us know in comment section below about your ordeal.
