Blizzard Entertainment has already confirmed that they will be recreating the original Diablo game in "Diablo 3" to mark the 20th anniversary of the popular game franchise next year. Notably, the event dubbed "The Darkening of Tristram," will only be available in January.

John Langrave, Diablo III production director, revealed that they have decided to limit its availability to make the event a special one. "We wanted it to be special," Langrave said. "We have limited events already, like the Kanai event in March. We want to concentrate it and having it happening occasionally will make it special."

How To Access "Diablo 3" Update Now?

While, there's still some time left for the update to get rolled out next year, gamers can test it on the Public Test Realm (PTR) version, but, only as long as they own "Reaper of Souls." To access the update, players can log in to the PTR, choose their character and move ahead to the waypoint as per the game map. After reaching the fountain as per instructions, gamers will find a blue portal which will take them to the event. This update test will enable diablo fans to check what they can expect from the upcoming January 2017 update.

Recently, the game developer also released a new "Diablo 3" patch which features exciting game bonuses, new zones, new items and also new challenge rifts. What's interesting to note is that the latest patch will enable players to access the 20th anniversary "Diablo 1" edition. Those who download the latest "Diablo 3" patch can get their hands on the upcoming edition ahead of the launch date.

"Diablo 3" DLC Release Date-

Blizzard Entertainment has also revealed details about the "Diablo 3" DLC tilted, "Rise of the Necromancer", which will be released next year. The DLC will reportedly feature the dark arts master character who can summon armies of undead by using blood magic. A short preview for the expansion pack has also been released. More information about "Diablo 3" DLC release date, features are yet to be announced.
