Apple iPhone 8 Leaks, Specs, Rumors: 3D-Camera, OLED Display, Longer Battery Life & More
Apple was widely criticized for lack of innovations in the newly launched iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. It looks like Apple will be redesigning the iPhone 8, to awe the Apple fans. According to some latest iPhone 8 leaks, the next offering by Apple will change the trend of mobile devices.
Apple iPhone 8 will be launched in two variants a 5-inch iPhone 8 and 5.8-inch iPhone 8 plus. According to the latest iPhone 8 rumors, the new device will have a screen that completely covers the front of the screen. No other Smartphone at present offers a bezel-less design. Earlier rumors suggest that Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive, want the next iPhone to appear like a "to appear like a single sheet of glass."
Some iPhone 8 leaks suggest that Apple is secretly developing a next-gen camera in partnership with LG. The new camera will introduce users to "3D photography" feature. As reported in ET news, "Apple is now studying how to apply its 3D camera technology into LG Innotek's smartphone camera."
Reports suggest that LG will now supply the dual camera exclusively to Apple. The 3D camera, if realized in iPhone 8, can set is apart from its competitors such as Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel. Apple iPhone 7 Plus already features a dual-camera set-up which creates a depth effect. iOS artificially blurs the background while keeping the subject in sharp focus. This feature along with the technological advances of LG Innotek will deliver next-gen iPhone 8,as reported by Forbes.
Apple had in 2015 acquired the Israeli start-up LinX, which boasted of 3D camera technology. Earlier rumors also suggested that Apple may also introduce the OLED screen technology in the latest iPhone 8. OLED screen improves the battery life significantly and also enables better lighting contrast.
