2017 LG G6 Smartphone Preview [VIDEO]: Handset To Have Galaxy Note 7 Inspired Iris Scanner, Mobile Pay, 4K Display & More! Specs, Price & Release Date Revealed!
2017 LG G6 will be rolled out next year as a successor to the earlier LG G5 smartphone. The upcoming model is expected to feature a new mobile payment option as well as an iris scanner, much better than the one in Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Whether the smartphone will be able to meet the success rate of the LG V20 or not, the new features do make it a handset to be kept on the watch list.
Although the G5 wasn't that much of a hit amongst LG users, the upcoming 2017 G6 might just be a huge leap for the company. There have already been leaks regarding a 4K display as well as the discarding of modular design in the upcoming model. Here's what we know about the 2017 LG G6 smartphone so far:
2017 LG G6 Smartphone: Specs & Features
Recent reports form SlashGear state that LG might just beat Samsung Galaxy Note 7 by featuring a more advanced iris scanner in its upcoming G6 Model. While Galaxy Note 7 did make a great impact on smartphone fans with its iris scanner, its discontinuation hasn't been of many advantages to Samsung.
The 2017 LG G6 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830, which will be rolled out next year. The upcoming model will also feature a USB Type-C port, 32GB of internal storage as well as a 4GB RAM. LG has already showcased an all-in-one module that acts as an iris scanner and a camera, at the Korea Electronics Show held earlier in October. So, it's very much probable that the same tech will be featured in the 2017 LG G6 smartphone. Following the example set up by Apple Pay, LG will also launch its own LG Pay option in the upcoming model.
