SpaceX And Tesla Beat Facebook And Apple; Elon Musk Ranks Top In The Most Admired Tech Leader
Ellon Musk has contributed a lot of projects in the tech industry. As many would know a vast variety of companies are under his name. Two of the big names are SapceX and Tesla. The name of Elon Musk also pops up with SolarCity and PayPal. In line with this, a new survey revealed that he is the most admired tech leader.
Elon Musk defeated Mark Zuckerburg, Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs at the most admired tech leader of all the 700 founders. The survey was conducted by the VC firm First Round Capital.
Among the 700 founders, respondents wrote the SpaceX and Tesla CEO's name and gathered 23 percent when asked whom they admired the most. Followed by Jeff Bezos at 10 percent, Mark Zuckerburg at 6 percent and Steve Jobs at 5 percent. Also, Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook gathered merely 1 percent and is the most cited female among the founders, according to the Fortune.
The survey was published on Thursday, Dec. 1. It is weeks after Tesla reported a relatively stellar quarter for only the second time in its history as a public company. However, Elon Musk will not be where he is right now if not for his soaring ambitions and these brought him to the place only a few people could reach.
However, reports show that Tesla has a track record of missing production and shipping deadlines for its vehicles. The company then increased its production and says it is still on track to meet the goal of sending 50,000 cars in the second half of 2016.
Human as he is, Elon Musk does not let his critics stop him. He said that he was confident that Tesla will able to begin its production as planned. It will be the first time that the company will produce a vehicle in volume. As follows, Musk set a goal for himself, at the end of 2017, he will begin production on the upward of 300,000 pre-ordered Model 3s, according to Recode.

In a report by the INC.com, the First Round survey polled founders of venture-backed companies. The results were collected between September and October of this year.
