The nostalgic retro gaming NES Classic edition consoles got sold the moment they hit the stores. Gamers and critics have been commenting on the limited number of games the NES Classic Edition gaming console offers. However, the NES Classic edition got sold out as soon as they got stocked on the shelves during the first shipment.
No Official Announcement From Nintendo Yet
Nintendo promised that they shall restock the stores before the holiday season. While fans of the console are eagerly waiting for the console, there has not been any official announcement so far on the second shipment of the consoles. However, there is one retailer out there who has added the consoles to his shelves for their Great Big Christmas NES Classic Edition Sale, as reported by Christian Times.
Toys R Us Adds NES Classic To Shelves For Christmas Sale
Toys R Us will reportedly have stocks of the console on from December 4 for its Great Big Christmas NES Classic Edition Sale. The sale will continue till December 10. However, nostalgic fans that are eagerly waiting to grab the console the moment it hit the stores may not let the stock live till the end of the week. Like the first NES Classic Edition sale, the current stock will also be sold out in no time. Hence, buyers have to be quick to get one into their pocket, as reported by Newseveryday.
Toys R Us Expect A Quick Sell Out
"Our stores are receiving shipments of [the NES Classic Edition] and we expect that when stores open at 8 a.m., they will sell very quickly," Toys R Us said. Gamers are eagerly waiting for similar news from other retailers as well. However, retailers are still unsure on whether or not the console's second shipment will arrive before the end of the holiday season.
Retailers Are Unsure About The Stock Arrival
"Target is actively working to meet guest demand and will continue to replenish inventory throughout the season," a spokesperson from Target said. An official announcement from Nintendo is still awaited and players are waiting for the stocks to be replenished again.

The NES classic edition is the concise version of the Classic Nintendo Entertainment System first introduced in 1985. The console comes pre-loaded with 30 most popularly played retro games of its period including "Donkey Kong", "Mario" titles, "Final Fantasy" and "The Legend of Zelda" and more.
