Tesla's CEO Elon Musk unveiled the much awaited 2018 Tesla Model 3 earlier in March this year. While Musk stated the car to have a 215 miles range, new speculations state that the sedan will run up to 250 miles. The Car is available for pre-order now and costs just $35,000.
According to a recent report, the Tesla Model 3 will also have an all electric option with a range of more than 250 miles. The upcoming Model 3 will feature the latest battery tech advances, which were revealed with the launch of P100D Model S and Model X variants. The company's advanced lithium-ion battery pack has much more capacity than its predecessor, and will also feature an updated cooling system. The charging time is expected to be much similar to the previous models. This clearly means that the EV can full charge itself in between three and six hours.
Recent Rumors also state that the Auto Manufacturer will offer free charging to its Model 3 Customers at its currently expanding Supercharger network. Although the network is still in development, it's expected to be completed at the time of the sedan's launch in 2017. Elon Musk earlier stated that the Model 3 will offer a 215 miles range. However, with the new advanced lithium-ion batteries, the range will be expanded to up to 250 miles on a single full charge.
The performance of the 2018 Tesla Model 3 is also quite amazing. It seems that Musk wasn't joking when he said that Tesla doesn't make slow cars. The upcoming model can go from 0-60 miles per hour in a record time of fewer than six seconds.

The upcoming sedan gets its inspiration from the current Model S. The Model 3 is expected to come in both all-wheel as well as rear-wheel drive version. The sedan will also replace the earlier 17-inch portrait touch-screen, featured in the Model S and X, with the new 15-inch landscape touch-screen.
While the Autopilot hardware is standard, the upcoming model may feature a new upgrade we've all been waiting for. In an October Event, the company revealed that all the upcoming vehicles would come with a full self-driving hardware. If that is true then the Model 3 will include this feature by default.
The 2018 Tesla Model 3 can comfortably accommodate five adults and has a comparatively larger Cargo capacity. The car will have an all glass roof, spreading from the windshield back to the car's trunk. Musk has also revealed earlier that the Model 3 will also feature the "Ludicrous Mode", which was featured in both the Model S and Model X.

The production of the car will reportedly begin early next year, but Tesla has already started taking up Pre-Orders for a $1,000 down payment. The Car will be available for purchase with a starting price of $35,000.
The biggest competitor for the Model 3 at present is GM's Chevy Bolt. The car offers a 200 miles range and a $30,000 price. Compared to the upcoming Tesla Model, the Chevy Bolt is slightly left behind in the race for the best EV. Stay tuned to SWR for more updates on the 2018 Tesla Model 3.
