Apple iOS single sign-on was launched on Monday and is now fully operational. Apple has just made the TV viewing more seamless and hassle free. At present, the service is available to customers in U.S. only but will soon be expanded to other regions.

Previously, users were required to enter information for different apps to access content. With the new Apple iOS single sign-on for TV, users will have to enter their account details once to have an instant access to several other apps.

The single sign-on was tested in the TV OS 10.1 and 10.2 beta but has now been released for all iPhone and Apple TV running on OS 10 and tvOS 10 devices, respectively.

Apple iOS single sign-on for TV be available for only a limited providers which include Hotwire, Sling TV, Metrocast, Hawaiian Telecom, GTA, GVTC, Dish, Century Link Prism, and DirecTV. Some notable names that are missing and may be added at a later stage are Comcast, Verizon, Optimum, Charter and Time Warner Cable, as reported by Appleinsider.

How To Setup Apple iOS single sign-on for TV?

To use the single sign-on users will need to enter and save the credentials once. In the Apple TVoS, navigate to settings>Accounts>TV Provider and then users can select the participating TV services. Users will have to enter the account information and save it.

To setup, Apple iOS single sign-on on the iOS the process is nearly similar. Users will have to navigate to setting>TV provider and enter and save the credentials. Users, who sign in from devices that use iCloud and same Apple ID, will be automatically signed-in from all devices using the same Apple ID. You can check Apple's official help page here.
