The tech giant has rolled out a battery replacement program for iPhone 6s, which have the battery shutdown issue. To get a new battery replacement all you need to do is make an appointment at the local Apple store. The employee will check for iPhone 6s shutdown problem to verify if your Smartphone is eligible for the free battery replacement. After the verification, an order for a replacement battery is placed, which takes up to seven days to arrive.
The buyer is expected to have a backup of their iPhone 6S data and to drop-off the Smartphone at the Apple store when the shipment arrives. It usually takes an hour to get the battery replaced. The battery replacement kit worth $79 is being offered for free for eligible customers. Apple has a dedicated webpage to determine whether an iPhone 6S is eligible for the replacement. It's worth noticing that any other repairs including a broken screen or dents will not be covered in the replacement program.

Apple earlier admitted that even the customers who own iPhone 6S other than the affected range are facing the same battery shutdown issue. According to reports, a large number of users have lodged complaints regarding their iPhone 6S shutdown issue. What's more concerning is that these smartphone have a manufacturing date much prior to the given September and October 2015 timeframe.
To finally fix battery shutdown issue with the iPhone 6S, Apple is currently working on a diagnostic tool to figure out a solution in its upcoming iOS update.
