Samsung's upcoming phones, especially the Samsung Galaxy S8, may be released next year without an earphone jackIt wasn't long before in September that Apple introduced the concept of Air-pods and the "lack of jack" in iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The announcement and release led to many speculations, jokes and memes.

However, now that the initial hiatus and disbelief has died, it is being reported that other smartphone giants are following the trend set by Apple. The South Korean company Samsung is also gearing up to release Samsung Galaxy S8 without an audio jack. The industry is gradually moving to a wireless era. Even Apple iPhone 8 is presumed to opt for wireless charging- a fad which was first displayed by Samsung in its flagship Galaxy phones.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is also rumoured to be manufactured with a USB Type-C port for charging the phone. The port is similar to the one in OnePlus 3. Apart from this, there are quite a few other rumours in the market. Samsung Galaxy S8 phone may possibly be equipped with stereo speakers if the headphone jack isn't present. It is also quite possible that it may not have a home button. The fingerprint sensor may now become a part of the display screen itself.

The screen, to remind you, will be a 2K Super AMOLED display. It may also feature a PenTile layout. This addition can improve image sharpness and boost the virtual reality effects. Samsung has surely created a lot of excitement and buzz in the digital market.
