Be Over The Moon On Your Honeymoon – 10 Years From Now
Newlyweds are usually "over the Moon" with happiness for being with the one person to be there for 'til death do they part. But how would you feel, if 10 years from now, you can celebrate your love on the Moon -- literally?
Moon Express, or MoonEx, is an American, private start-up company founded by Naveen Jain, and it is getting ready to launch a Lunar Mission that could enable those who want to travel to the Moon in the next 10 years. With the help of SpaceX's Elon Musk, MoonEx will allow couples to take a luxurious trip to our planet's own, rocky satellite at only $10,000. The Tecake noted that the Moon mission usually costs about $25 billion per person -- that could all be in the past. Jain noted that the cost of taking a trip to the Moon will likely get cheaper in the next 10 years.
"The Moon Express 2017 mission approval is a landmark decision by the US government and a pathfinder for private sector commercial missions beyond the Earth's orbit," the company's CEO, Bob Richards, noted. "We are now free to set sail as explorers to Earth's eighth continent, the moon, seeking new knowledge and resources to expand Earth's economic sphere for the benefit of all humanity."
The Moon is a magical, mystical place subject to dreams -- and anyone who wants to visit could save up as early as now to get on board once the mission is open for the public.
Today, however, we can look forward for plans of a future interational space station to be put in an orbit around the Moon -- at only a fourth or a fifth of the size of the one floating around the Earth. The discussion, according to Tass.com, is in its initial phase and is set to create near-Moon infrastructure for exploration and development processes.
