Super Nintendo World: Pegged To Open At Universal Studios Japan By 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Expected To Create 1.1 Million Jobs
Nintendo is partnering with Universal Studios to open the Super Nintendo World at the latter's studio in Japan. The Nintendo's theme park would be completed and opened to public only by 2020.
Such Nintendo theme parks are planned to be opened all over the world. The Super Nintendo World will feature all important video game characters including our old favourite, Mario. The companies plan to open the attraction for the global public at Universal Studios Japan by 2020. They aim to inaugurate the theme park just in time for the Tokyo Olympics scheduled in 2020. Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts also reported that they will be working on and launching Nintendo themed adventure parks in Orlando and Hollywood in the upcoming years.
It is planned that the Super Nintendo World will include huge and multi level environments and places full of awesome rides. These rides are those which have not been seen before and will be state of the art. There will also be interactive areas where people can meet and greet their favourite characters. Not to mention, there will be ample shops and restaurants to keep everyone happy. All these features will include Nintendo's favourite and most loved characters and games.
The development cost of the themed park in Universal Studios, Japan is expected to be around $433 million or even more. That is not a low price to pay for something so huge as an announcement for the fans. Super Nintendo World will be built in and around the current parking space of the studios. Another area has been planned to use for this huge planned park.
The Universal Studios and Nintendo are expected to earn over $15.91 billion after the Super Nintendo World is inaugurated for public use. This also means a lot of revenue for the Japanese government. Not to mention, almost 1.1 million jobs are expected to be generated as a result of the park opening within only a decade!
Among other key attractions, the Super Nintendo World will consist of different settings and characters from the extremely popular "Super Mario" series. This series has won several hearts over the years. Not just these, the Nintendo World will also have a lot many other Nintendo characters which are loved across the world. The partnership of Shigeru Miyamoto, creative fellow at Nintendo, and Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative is expected to yield remarkable results which will be enjoyed all over the world in the years to come.
