Pokémon Go Latest Update Gen 2 Explained: Tips, Tricks To Get Newly Released Baby Pokémon

Pokémon Go Latest Update was recently and finally Niantic had added Pokémon from Gold and Silver to Pokémon Go. The new Pokémon can be hatched only from the existing egg system.

The latest Pokémon update has added only seven new creatures from the entire 100 second generation Pokémons. You can find Pichu, Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Togepi, from the latest update.

The Game decides which Pokémon will hatch from the egg, so players have no idea which Pokémon is inside the egg until it hatches. Players can obtain the eggs from the PokeStops, as reported by BGR.

Players can hatch the eggs by placing them in the incubator and walking the required distance. To hatch Pokémon eggs players will have to walk anywhere from 2km to 10km depending on the Pokémon which is inside the egg.

Cleffa and Igglybuff can be found from 2km eggs, and can be evolved into Clefairy and Jigglypuff, respectively with 25 candies each.

Togepi and Pichu can be hatched from 5km eggs and can be evolved into Togetic(Yet unreleased) and Pikachu, respectively with 50 candies each.

Finally, the 10 km eggs will get you Smoochum, Magby, and Elekid which can be evolved into Jynx, Magma, Electabuzz, respectively with 25 candies each, as reported by Forbes.

Even though the latest Pokémon Go update gives players seven new Pokémon options, it is worth noting that at any given point of time a player can hold only nine eggs. So, you would have to keep hatching them to give yourself a better chance of catching new Pokémons. According to a Niantic Statement,

"These are the first of more Pokémon coming to Pokémon GO over the next few months. Walk to hatch these Pokémon from Eggs, and register them to your collection this holiday season. We can't wait to see what Pokémon you've hatched!"

According to Niantic statement, until December 29, 2016, 10:00 A.M. PST a limited edition Pikachu would be available all over the world. The new Pokémon Go update has also introduced single transaction transfer of multiple Pokémon to Professor Willow. This is being labeled as a massive time saver.
