Putin Directly Involved In US Election Hacking In Vendetta Of Clinton Emails: US Preparing To Retaliate?

Russian President Vladimir Putin was personally involved and authorized the hacking and use of Hillary Clinton's emails as per latest CIA reports. Well, at this point is anyone even surprised by this breaking news?

The U.S elections were mired in controversies, and it was speculated all along that Russia was responsible for handing over the hacked Clinton emails to WikiLeaks. There were several indications about Russia's involvement, but the recent confirmation by CIA makes it all clear.

CIA officials believe with "a high level of confidence" (which by the way means that they are 100 percent sure ) that Russian President Vladimir Putin was personally involved in the covert operation to interfere in the U.S election, as reported by NBC News.

According to two senior officials, Putin was even involved in deciding how the leaked Clinton emails should be used to undermine the Clinton campaign. The reports further suggest that the objective was to,

"Split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn't depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore."

Intelligence officials believe that only Putin could have authorized such a high level of covert operation. It is also a well-known fact that Putin is no fan of Hillary Clinton after the latter's comments during the Russian parliamentary elections of 2011, as reported by The Verge.

Some latest reports suggest that U.S is preparing for a payback and have begun probing Putin's empire to find some dirt to put him on the backfoot. It is worth noting that most people in Russia are aware of the money Putin has made and alleged killings of his political adversaries.

CIA officials said that Obama administration might respond before leaving office. Russian President Vladimir Putin is believed to sensitive against anything that makes him look weak. Thus, U.S intelligence agencies may try and find some information that would make him look weak.
