HTC 11 Release Date, Specs, Price: Handset To Feature A Fully Water Proof Body; Could This Mean Removal Of 3.5 MM Jack?

Although the earlier HTC 10 model from the smartphone manufacturer HTC didn't get that much attention, the next year's HTC 11 model may take the company's profits high again. If the reports are true then HTC might be following Apple's lead in making their smartphone completely water proof. Whether this means removal of the conventional 3.5 mm jack or not hasn't been revealed yet. However, here's what we know about the HTC 11 smartphone so far:

The earlier HTC 10 model had tons of jaw-dropping specs and it appears like the upcoming model may also have numerous advanced features. According to recent reports, the upcoming 2017 model's specifications will go beyond the specs featured in the prior HTC flagship handset. The smartphone will feature a 5.5" screen, which will also offer support for a QHD Display resolution. The HTC 11 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor.

While the smartphone will feature a RAM of 8 GB, the internal storage is expected to be at least 256 GB. The handset also features a dual primary camera of 12 Mega Pixels and an 8 MP camera for taking selfies. The phone will spec a 3,700 MaH Battery, which will also have support for quick charging.

New leaks also indicate that the latest HTC 10 successor may also have a fully waterproof body.With Apple removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack to make its iPhone 7 water resistant, HTC may also decide to do the same. There have already been reports that the smartphone giant has been planning to bring a smartphone that is IP68 rated. It seems like, with the new HTC 11 model, the company is all set to bring that change.

The HTC 10 despite its cool specifications, failed to gather much attention of the public. Now, HTC has decided to bring the next smartphone whose looks will be totally jaw dropping. The step seems quite obvious as the company wants to satisfy their users after the earlier model didn't perform well in the smartphone market.

The earlier model felt quite plain and simple on hands and so the HTC 11 may feature a curved edge along with a new "Sense Touch" Feature. This new feature will allow the user to perform basic actions by just swiping or tapping on the smartphone's edge. The upcoming model will also bring back the front-facing BOOM speakers configuration.

The upcoming 2017 model is expected to come with a price tag between $680 and $745. Although the company has not yet announced any official HTC 11 release date yet, the smartphone is expected to get rolled out most probably in April 2017, based on the previous year's launching schedule.
