Better Breasts without Bras? May Decrease Back Pain and Sagging

For ladies that like to let the girls breathe or Lena Dunham fans, a new study suggests, despite limited information, that not wearing a bra may relieve back pain and reduce sagging? It's certainly the opposite of what moms, coaches and health professionals insisted, stating that if we removed our harnesses too often, our fun bags would be hanging to our knees before age 40.

This 15-year study found that wearing a bra could actually be sending our busts to the ground and actually does little to help ease back pain, despite what researchers may say.

Evidence from the study claimed that bras are little more than a 'false necessity' and there is no benefit at all in 'denying breasts gravity.'

The research was led by professor Jean-Denis Rouillon, from the University of Besançon in eastern France, a sports science expert.

"Medically, physiologically, anatomically - breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity," Rouillon said, according to The Daily Mail. "On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra."

With the help of a slide rule and caliper, Rouillon spent years measuring changes in the orientation of the breasts of 130 women.

He carried out his research at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (University Hospital) in Besançon.

Capucine, a 28-year-old woman participant in the professor's in-depth study, swears by the results.

She said she has not worn a bra for two years, adding that "there are multiple benefits: I breathe more easily, I carry myself better, and I have less back pain."

Even after this life-changining study, we'd recommend you hold onto your bras, just in case.
